Also known as Tangail sarees, these are woven in cotton threads and are light in weight with a sheer effect. Fabric: Silk is a natural fibre produced from the cocoons of mulberry silkworm and has a shimmering appearance due to the triangular prism-like structure in the weave. Ornamentation: Zardozi is form of embroidery that came to India from Persia. Along with the threads, other opulent embellishments such as sequins, beads, precious and semi-precious stones and pearls are also a part of this craft.
